People are complaining about Spring
they say she’s slow
and she’s fickle
she’s cold
and she’s leaving us unfulfilled
I think she’s taking it easy on us
she’s seen how fragile we all are
how hard we take it
She’s easing us in
coaxing us back to life
with a tease and a promise
a long, slow seduction
for the shy and the frightened
