by Branden Mayer
The crevices that would hope for better things have sealed shut
I don’t know what fun is anymore
Is it failure?
Reality failing low-expectations with aplomb?
An empty response to empty conversation.
Focus on the positive,
Focus on solutions.
The solutions we need do not involve those like me
Joyless consumer
Tech-addled rat
Self-righteous narcissist
Impudent critic
Terrified and comfortable
Another fleck of dust gathered on the once great machine that has slowed to stop
No moving forward
Just down and down
Weighed down that tiny bit more
By the millions of flecks of dust
Like me.
