happy is the stone
is it
and the matter below it that shivers
does it
hungry wolf, stalks in this setting
a harried rabbit
and it knows in its fluff and tail
this is just the thing,
to set really living in motion.
winter in fat and bone needing to
satiate and survive
above all others is the lair
safety and warmth
there is none in this moment.
in my brain resides this grey wolf on the one side
a brown rabbit on the right,
down, down, down
spiral into the darkness of the icy lair
gently I go – without resistance, it’s all static
without seeing the light ahead
happy is the stone
is it
and the matter below it that shivers
does it
